Answer the following questions for your personal health check.
- Have you suffered increasingly from shortness of breath recently during physical exertion?
- Do you experience feelings of pressure or pain at the back of the chest, in the upper abdomen or radiating towards the arms, the jaw or into the back during stress/physical exertion?
- Has heart disease increasingly happened in the past in your family or with close relatives?
- Are you diabetic?
- Do you suffer from high blood pressure?
- Are you a smoker?
- Is your cholesterol reading too high?
- Do you feel that your endurance under physical and psychological exertion is decreasing?
- Do you suffer from arrhythmia, e.g. irregular heartbeat or occasionally occurring heart palpitations?
- Have you fainted or become unconscious or do you suffer from dizzy spells?
- Do you experience pain in your legs when running?
If you have answered “yes” to at least one of the questions, you should regularly consult your physician for a medical check up.
